CHAPTER 9

1-Why does the female factory worker compare her conditions with those of slaves?

Slavery produced products include guns, ammunition and other factory made goods. Most slave laborers worked in fields for farmers in the United States, but today others still work in farms and factories.Women wanted to be free at her work, but she was treated as slave with any power it was like submission. In her complain, she realized that slaves were treated better than her, yet she would not accept to be like slave because she was not.

2- Why does she doubt the sincerity of the Christian beliefs of the factory owners ?

She doubt the sincerity of the christian beliefs of the factory owner due to the horrible working conditions in the factory.She felt that they were awed into silence by wealth and power and was under tyranny and cruel oppression.It was unacceptable for her that they beliefs in God and treat people like slaves. Treated worst than slaves for something she decided to do was unbelievable.
